In 1995, the General Archive of the Nation recognizes the work of the Historical Archive and Mining Museum, A.C., regarding the conservation and awareness of its documentary heritage –written and graphic-, as well as its support to historical research, and awards it the National Mention of Archival Merit in the Private Category.
The rich veins of this museum can be exploited to learn about the industrial, technological, economic, social, occupational medicine, and cultural history of the Real del Monte and Pachuca district, as well as its national and international impact, and the migration of entrepreneurs and national and foreign workers to the region.

ROMERO DE TERREROS COLLECTION
With the agreement of the architect Luis Romero de Terreros y de Garay, between 1989 and 1990, management archives of the four first counts of Regla were microfilmed, ordered and inventoried by the historian Manuel Romero de Terreros y Vinent.

We accept requests to locate worker admission cards of the Real del Monte and Pachuca Company. Please contact us to get more information about the requirements, current rules and provisions, as well as social service.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the archive, library and newspaper archive consultation service is by appointment.
Business hours: Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 to 14:30 and 15:00 to 17:00 hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Written application printed on institution letterhead endorsing the researcher, specifying research topic and information use.
• Copy of valid official ID and a photo.
• Process the researcher credentials with the institution.
• Read and follow the Public Services Rules of the institution.
• Document reproduction is not allowed.
• Obligatory use of gloves and mask.
